Afternoon guys...I'm not on any social media...so can I just ask ...is there any pushback ?
What are the likes of the wonderful Ellen Clifford and dr jay watts saying ?
Any sign of legal action or organisations 'pushing back on this discriminatory , cruel madness' ?

Ms Kendall, 53, takes home a £67,505 ministerial salary in addition to her £91,346 pay as an MP, her partner is an Old Etonian banker whose pay packet is thought to be around £600,000. They live in a £3.9 Million house in Notting Hill !

Oh no...so does this mean we have no chance ?
They can just go ahead with all this ?
I'm terrified , I haven't stopped shaking since yesterday and even had chest pain last night.

Kendell on Facebook, she posted herself in the commons yesterday as if she proud. The comments aren't in her favour

No not all of them.
She wants them in education, training, apprenticeships or jobs.

I'm so sorry to hear that, it's not what we expected for our older age was it. Likewise, worked all my life. It's just awful what they're doing. We're easy targets and stuck between a rock and a hard place - they won't tax for their wealthy mates, so they go for vulnerable people 😠

Only went on twitter v briefly (can't cope with it for more than 5 mins). Oh Dr Jay Watts is very, very angry. And articulate. And talking about taking them to court asap. We can only hope. Multiple tweets from her yesterday and today. Not sure about Ellen Clifford, I'm not familar with her name but I'll have a quick look.
edit: there's videos of Ellen but I can't see any tweets from her. StammerOutNow is trending along with #disabilitybenefits and Labour are also tweeting - and not in a good way.
Unfortuntely when you punch down on pensioners, WASPI women, international aid, children (two benefit cap) and sick/disabled people and throw in the Middle East - that is a LOT of people and a huge amount of the population you are alienating. Lots of never voting Labour again from people I know and on line. Bravo Labour. Bravo.

An Update.
After many hours and countless phone calls, I have been advised by PIP that those that are receiving an ongoing award that you will not be affected by the 4 point rule until your soft touch review. Until this review is done you keep your current award. At review (soft touch) have it increased or decreased. The 4 point rule will have no effect until that review. In my case that is not until December 2027, over a year after the introduction of the 4 point rule. All that said, they did tell me that the 4 point rule will not be applied to anyone automatically and would only apply at reviews or new applications.
To be fair, the above is mentioned in the Green paper in regard to ongoing awards but is not very clear.
I hope this helps you !🙂

Hi, i asked this question earlier on : Hi, I am on Old style ESA (Cont) supoort group and PIP for many years due to cerebral palsay (Wheelchair user) . Does anyone know what will happen with that?
Someone kindly posted this reply : Yes if you are on Old style ESA and Pip you shouldn't be effected by these changes yet. It will just continue as before 😘 .
I know it is early days with these changes but does anyone know what will happen if my claim is reviewed? Thanks again

I just received my new council tax bill.
Its gone up £6 a month to £150 with 25% single person tax.
If I lose my benefits I won't be able to survive on my own and the only option will be to take back my abusive ex.
I never thought my life would come to this.

Thanks for that, some very useful information !!😊

Is there anyone our there with real expertise who can advise on the Green Paper proposal for a Contribution based unemployment insurance benefit?
The Green Paper stared that would replace CB-JSA and CB-ESA for two years only.
I claim PIP and CB ESA. I'm not eligible for UC. After two years on the new benefit I'd be dependent on PIP alone. I couldnt scrape by. My savings would last long.
Looking on various sites there is conflict as to whether the new benefit is for new claimants or for all CB-ESA recipients.
We really need an expert answer.
53. Unemployment insurance would be a new non-means tested entitlement for people who have contributed into the system. It would be created by replacing contribution-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA) and Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) with a new single entitlement, paid at the current ESA rate (currently £138pw) and will be time-limited. This would provide stronger income protection during periods of unemployment for those with a recent work record, while revitalising the ‘something-for-something’ contributory principle in the working-age system. People claiming this would be expected to actively seek work, with easements for those with work-limiting health conditions.
54. Alongside levelling up the rate, this change would end the indefinite entitlement to contributory ESA for those assessed as having limited capability for work-related activity (for new people claiming). Those unemployed after the time-limited period would be able to claim UC, depending on their personal circumstances. We believe this reform would align with the removal of the WCA, by offering a route to financial support for those with temporary and short-term health conditions, including for those who may not be entitled to PIP and therefore not entitled to the health element of UC.

I absolutely wish before brexit I'd moved I absolutely can't stand England anymore .
All it has now is the worst of everything
I absolutely wish the Leave voters had used a bit of common sense before pandering to the Tories and ruining this country for the rest of us. I'm just waiting for someone to blame Keir Starmer for that too
😆

You're welcome! Really hope it helps 😊

Absolutely. I'm pleased for those who won't be affected but for a lot of us we get 2s or 3s on several descriptors but not many 4s around so we're set to lose it if this goes through. The 'Government' has always gone on about independent living but that's going to be impossible as we won't be able to afford care. Even if I wasn't in this situation myself I'd be outraged at what they're proposing. 😡

Thanks So much Jen...really appreciate you taking the time to answer.

I know what you are saying but for those of us who have had the 4 pts on daily living....it doesn't mean we will get those points again at our review .
In fact I think the assessors will be lowering points and will be pressured to do so.
My point is...NOBODY IS SAFE . EVEN IF YOU HAVE MET THIS CRITERIA AT YOUR LAST ASSESSMENT/REVIEW, IT DOESN'T MEAN THOSE POINTS OR 4 PTS FOR ANY ONE CATEGORY WILL BE GIVEN AGAIN.
