    yes i did hear that,just read the letter and it says its been suspended????..at my wits end

    Would you be able to contact the council directly and ask them to explain why it's been suspended?

    i went there today to give them a copy of my tenancy agreement.they said they would just change it over??ty for asking

    Had the phone appt with agent concerning my ESA, as I am in support group ,it was explained to me, and what was expected of me, I basically just had to agree to commitment, I was assured migrating to new style ESA, phone appt was a standard legal issue and should not worry . No work advice was spoken of.

    My PIP review, sent in on 07 November 24, I have not heard a thing, very confusing and worrying,

    Our grandson who had a PIP phone interview ,moving from DLA to PIP , was told would be sorted out within 6 weeks, that was 7 weeks ago, also the migration from child tax credits which states takes 5 weeks , we not heard back from and that was done on 5 Feb 25.

    The UC acct made a monthly payment of £297.40, does not state what for , when I enquired on journal it said ,click on payments, it will tell you what it's for....

    It does not🤔 then I get a message on journal stating same payment amount due on 21 march, again does not state what it is for,

    Have no idea if it's child tax credit is the payment they sent, but not touching it until I know, as was getting the disablement element with it. I was told the payments I been sent could be assessment payments, but I got no idea whatsoever, seems a lot of disinformation from DWP or just trying to confuse me, which is not helping at all. Not even the journal thingy give a straight answer.

    As advised previously PIP reviews are taking around a year to complete, you are well under that time frame to hear anything further.

    I've also previously given you a link to find a local welfare rights organisation who can help explain Universal Credit to you.

    To view your payment statements, log in to your UC account, click on Payments & Advances, click on Payments, scroll down to Statements, click on one of the blue dated links under "View statement by pay date"

    Child Tax Credits have been replaced by UC so any entitlement will be paid under UC.

    I have done all that, but does not give a clue as to what payment is for. I fully understand what you describe, but just coming up as.. get this amount on this date, but nothing at all what it's for.

    I am also being told it's a UC payment as I may be entitled to UC.

    something else I have no idea of .

    I think you need to contact a local welfare rights organisation for expert assistance. We are all amateurs on here and sometimes the best advice we can give, is see a trained benefits advisor.

    I have a contact who has gone through same, they advise me that it is an assessment payments, while other things are being looked at. And could take weeks/months.

    Everything is very unclear . Done everything I been asked of, but get nothing when asking questions myself.

    That's why I advised you to see an independent trained benefits advisor, as you aren't getting anywhere with DWP and have found it difficult to understand how the system works.

    I've never heard of "assessment payments".

    Each monthly UC payment is based on your circumstances for the previous calender month, known as the assessment period.

    Looking at the turn2us page, the payment being sent is less than half of what it was (child tax credits with disablement element) with no backdated payment from the day I done the migration forms online.

    I do get you ,yes, I just don't get the "no explanation" from DWP.

    I am a lot more confused now than before. 🤷

    I think some of the confusion is down to you not understanding how UC works.

    There is no "backdated payment from the day I done the migration forms online" as such.

    Each monthly UC payment is based on your circumstances for the previous calender month.

    So your first payment would have covered from the day you did the migration forms to 29 days later.

    As I've urged you several times, contact a local welfare rights who can assist you better than UC.

    Although the download able guides are only available to paid subscribers,there is still alot of information,and very useful calculations,that are free on the Benefits and Work site.

    Admittedly I do subscribe annually,as with the discount offered,it's around £14 a year.

    That's roughly £1.17 a month,cheaper than 2 pints of milk,in this current economy.

    The guides were a God send,around 6 years ago for me (in regards to being denied ESA,and the process of mandatory consideration,and finally a claims appeal being heard) right through to now and the managed migration guide.

    There is a 57 page guide,which has helped ease my anxiety slightly.In particular,there is a section,that has been compiled by an amazing CAB team,with a link,which opened up (for me,and signing in via my google account) Google docs,which showed the UC form,page by page,with the ability to select an option at the bottom,and depending on the option chosen,open the relevant page.

    I've gone right through it,and by using this tool,have compiled the info,I will need,to start the actual form tomorrow 😖.

    Don't get me wrong,I'm still dreading it,and my anxiety,is in overdrive!!but I feel very slightly better,knowing what's ahead.(not sure if it's available externally from the embedded link,within the guide,or is available on the CAB website?maybe someone could advise on this?).

    Regarding old style CB ESA (support group), I thought this was not going to be merged into either UC, new style ESA or the Unemployment Insurance contributory benefit?

    Old style CB ESA has been replaced by New Style ESA for new claims or dual-claim migrations.

    For now, anyone still on CB ESA only, without any income based top up, will remain on it. Though that looks set to change in future.

    I have just had a telephone conversation ,regarding my ESA migration to NEW STYLE ESA,

    And because I am in the support group, nothing changes , was explained to me during telephone conversation, that the commitments read out to me ,I agree with and would get a letter in the post

    I just got it .for myself ,it carries on as normal, but that's mainly because they stated the reason, "I am in the support group"

    Not sure what goes on if not in SG.

    So you don't need a reassessment my neighbour works for dwp she said you do so many different things so you just went straight over thankyou

    I have stated what was explained to me.

    There has been no change to my ESA , Which is now..(NEW STYLE ESA)
