Labour pulled this **** with the AI consultation, so not a surprise. This is just one of many reasons filling in consultations wastes time, and people should respect themselves and not d them. they're like petitions.

Nadine Dorries said it best. The government already made their decsions are noyl do the consultation because they have to (both legaly and to give the illusion of democracy).

Another MP who doesn't live in the real world - on BBC website this morning

    The business secretary (Jonathan Reynolds):

Reynolds cites minimum wage and pension increases

Reynolds is now pressed on when people will feel better off.

"They are getting better off," Reynolds says - the government is not only making wages higher, but introducing other measures including free breakfast clubs, freezing fuel duty and triple-lock pensions, he says.

At the heart of it, he says, is "running an economy soundly".

He acknowledges there are real pressures on finances, but they are "starting to see the decisions the government has made make people better off".

He's then asked specifically about the government cutting winter fuel payments and welfare eligibility.

Reynolds says the government is committed to making everyone feel better off, and protecting working people.

Hi. Its from benefitsandwork.co.uk. if you read through it it looks like the government are trying to get everything sorted by May so they can rush the changes through without proper consultation
