I won’t because I’m going to use the last bit of money I will have for a final week away at my favourite place and then say goodbye to this. No other option

Yes it is a lot more than we could have hoped for. We were too used to being ignored and sidelined.

It's really encouraging to see all the solid support that we've got but it didn't happen while the Tories took a smaller amount of our benefits off us at any one time and repeated it every so often.

They were more on the ball for keeping our loses in support quiet but this lot only seem to know the sledgehammer approach.

At least with them attempting to take nearly everything we've got left has got us the attention we deserve but what a terrible price we've all had to pay for it! 🥺

What is terrifying is the sheer scale of the cuts and the Labour leaderships sadisic denial that they are doing anything wrong. We've not had a straight answer from them since March!! 😳

The observer are reporting an exclusive that Starmer is scrapping the two child benefit cap and saying in doing so it now shows that it is a moral mission to carry on with the disability cuts

Some aspects of the plan will be announced before summer. Although no final decision has been made, Whitehall sources say this is likely to include a commitment to end the two-child cap as part of an attempt to show that welfare reform is a “moral mission” for the government rather than simply an austerity drive. Dozens of Labour MPs are threatening to rebel over the government’s proposed changes to disability benefits.

I think it will pass now, despite ALL the negative coverage they're going to pass it.

Starmer and co are making this not a moral mission but an ideological crusade, they know it's wrong, they know it will force people into destitution but they will do it anyway.

This can only backfire on her . It shows how two faced she is . According to what I just heard on silver fox there are now over 150 voting against. Obviously don’t know how true it is but if it the rebellion is growing.

so basically he’s reinstating the WFA and scrapping the 2 child cap as they’ll use the money saved from the disabled. I hope this back fires as if true it’s disgusting

"An ally of Kendall said that, while the movement on winter fuel was welcomed by Labour MPs, bold action on child poverty would be more likely to sway them into backing reforms to sickness and disability benefits. “Child poverty is the thing that’s relevant in that debate,” they said."

I’m confused as I’ve read we only need 83 votes against from Labour and we could have 150

If this is true it’s disgusting if they vote for cuts to disability to pay for scrapping the 2 child limit . Obviously disabled people don’t matter to them as we apparently don’t contribute to the economy and society.

What an awful excuse for a human being she is!!

Such narratives contribute to the stigmatization of individuals who rely on welfare support, often overlooking the complex socioeconomic factors that lead to unemployment or the need for assistance. Moreover, they can have detrimental effects on the mental health of claimants, who may already be facing significant challenges.

Research indicates that negative media portrayals of welfare recipients can exacerbate feelings of shame and isolation among claimants, potentially leading to increased mental health issues . It's essential to approach discussions about welfare with nuance and empathy, recognizing the diverse circumstances that lead individuals to seek support

I've been at peace with my disability for years now. I was born with Cerebral Palsy and Hydrocephalus. I think even though you're born with a disability, you still go through a period of grief for the live you could've had. I am greatful of PIP and the opportunities that it has given me, but it's things like this that makes me feel that i'm going backwards and i wish i didn't have to claim PIP as i feel shame. Why should i be made to feel ashamed for getting a bit of money that helps me have my independence.

The relentless demonisation is too much. Sick of it!
