    Hey @benn60 you can give them a call and explain, then request a phone appointment. They may not say yes, but usually you can. Good luck!

    these UC staff don’t seem to have a clue what they are talking about! And the impact this has on our mental health!

    I was provided with misleading information about the ESA run on payments, which was incorrectly stated to be for four weeks rather than two.

    the same agent said that my first payment will be on the 21st of October, I migrated on the 1st of September, that information does not match what my home page and the payment section states;

    Your monthly amount is paid in 2 parts. On:

    • 7 October 2025 you will be paid the first half
    • 21 October 2025 you will be paid the second half

    If that agent is correct, this would be over 7 weeks from the start of my claim via managed migration to get my first payment! What part of all this is managed??

    the first agent that responded to my request for 2 payments a month and for my rent to be paid directly to my landlord, was very good and explained things in an easy manner. This 2nd agent is driving me crazy!

    Is it inappropriate to ask for the first agent to review the latest information provided to me? I have had non stop panic attacks and my generalised anxiety disorder is in overdrive mode, I can’t think straight at all, it has taken me 4 hours to write this post, I was also granted a total of 7 extensions due to my mental health and inability to cope with change. I knew this migration would destroy me

    Hi,

    The reason for the confusion around payment dates is because you have asked to be paid twice monthly through an APA.

    Your first payment was always going to be on 7th October. (5 weeks after submitting the claim). But that will only be for half of the payment in your case. You then have to wait another two weeks for the second half of the payment, which will be 21st October. That is how it works for this type of payment setup.

    Sorry for my poor writing, I am mentally overwhelmed and exhausted.

    overlyanxious, thank you kindly for that explanation, after I insisted on a review of the advice I had been given, I received an apology in my journal for the incorrect information I had been provided.
    what I fail to understand is that they have been migrating ESA claimants for a year now, and they are still making so many mistakes, which has a very drastic effect to our mental health.

    The migration is scary enough for those of us with longstanding profound complex mental health disorders, I no longer feel able to ask any questions in my journal expecting accurate advice, my social phobia makes it far to difficult to seek help via the telephone, even writing in my journal at the start of my claim was hard enough.

    I had to have a total of 7 extensions just to be able to make my claim.

    @Catherine21 I've got to migrate by 12th Nov. Will do it on the 5th as it's my last esa day. The whole rent set up i still can't get my head around. You know the three weeks we've to pay ourselves, I guess it will all become clear when I contact my council telling them I've migrated.

    My pip review is due real soon too. I'm in no headspace for any if it. Good luck to you love.
