There's no should reply here..
I was deeply upset (and angry) in the week following my diagnosis and spent a week crying on the sofa, not washing and barely eating. It's a huge shock for you to come to terms with and will take others even longer.
Can you get a short break somewhere for a few days for some rest and alone time, so you can concentrate on you?

Hi @WhatThe , I am holding back tears here because your being so kind to me . I don't know what's right or wrong anymore. Your right it does take time for these diagnosises to become apparent to us . The other reason I'm nearly in tears is because I've been told I can't go for a break away on my own. I'm so sorry 😞 everything is a mess . Please @WhatThe im so so sorry 😞.

Oh sweetStrawberryheart, you need time and room to process what happened this week cos it's huge 😓
If you can't have time away then time out - in bed or in the bath and wearing headphones to reduce external noise if you don't already will help and hopefully not offend your partner. Take it easy because the anxiety you felt leading up to your assessment could leave you exhausted for a while.

Hi @Strawberry1 We are all here for you. You must put yourself first while you come to terms with your diagnosis.

Totally agreeing with WhatThe here, you need time to process everything, it's a lot to take in when you get a diagnosis that you're neurodivergent. Just be gentle with yourself and allow yourself to sit with the feelings, but know all feelings will pass in time. It's the start of a big learning journey.

I'm going to try my very best to be quiet because it is my fault that everything falls apart. My brain works different so being quiet is probably for the best .

Just because I've talked about how things are at home it doesn't mean I'm right . Just because I get shouted at from time to time it doesn't mean that other person is a bad person. Just because I've overshared it here doesn't mean I've got it right . I've got it so wrong.

I'm so very mixed up about things . I'm not sure if I've messed things up by telling the gp something. They are not cross with me but I can't be sure if I've messed up somewhere.
