hi everyone just a quick question if you’re in a pointy for your and you have to do more like universal credit I understand that she has to be part of my client but what happens if she hasn’t got all the relevant documents and is a list that I could look at to see what she needs to prove her identity? Would to go to the job centre to prove her identitywhen a claim is being processed? Thanks for the help everyone

I don't want to start a whole new thread for this question but just want to check whether UC now includes a section for disregarded capital or not?
When I migrated, I was asked to put the exact figure from every bank account on that day. I did exactly that. But then realised there was nowhere to 'remove' the income from PIP, ESA & HB (pre-migration) and nowhere to remove the COL payments either. So that figure wasn't the correct amount of capital.I feel like I should correct that error on the final day of my current payment period. But I don't want to get it wrong again and I don't want to to open the page early to check. So the question is, do I put the full amount in one box, and then remove the disregarded capital in another box? Or do I just put the full amount minus the disregards in the first box? I'm concerned that if I do that and they ask for bank statements, the statement figures will obviously be different and potentially cause staff confusion which could cause more issues for myself.
(PS - I'm not asking which parts are disregarded, I understand that, I just don't trust them to understand that!)

I don't know the answer to your question because I've never personally reported any capital other than the day I claimed UC for my daughter. I just didn't want to read this and not comment.
You may want to start a new thread with your question because this thread is now into 16 pages and your question could be missed by someone that may have experience through reporting capital their self.

I thought if your in the support group you would be expected to look for work .or am I'm getting confused.

Sorry should say wouldn't have to look for work.
1 -
That's not correct, you are confused. As my guide advises at the start of this thread, if you're in the Support Group you'll be entitled to the LCWRA element from the start of your claim. This is the same as the Support Group and will not be expected to look for work or attend appointments, after your first appointment.

Yes I corrected myself underneath. I couldn't find a way to edit the original comment. My mistake.

so why I’m getting this letter then

To be clear have you received a migration letter? If so then it's because the migration for ESA claimants has changed from 2028/29 to anytime from now until end of December 2025. You must claim UC by the date in the letter.
Edit to add, I also commented on your thread here.

That letter is just offering you help with the migration to Universal Credit.
For now you just need to wait until you get the letter from DWP.

Are you supported housing if so they are making you aware that this will happen

I just finished filling in my universal credit migration online forms but a bit confused cos it's saying about a work coach but I am currently on ESA in the support group? Anybody shed any light on this?

UC will not know that you are in the Support Group for ESA until they send your details across. You will need to make sure you put a message onto your journal to tell them.
It may also ask you to provide a fit note but this isn't needed due to being in the Support Group. It will take a few weeks for your claim to be updated with the information from ESA.
You will likely be asked to attend your first appointment at your local job centre as well. If you're unable to attend due to your health conditions you can ask for a reasonable adjustment for a telephone call.

hi poppy123456 I get esa my claim was moved over from income support it was be 2017 I don’t have to look for work but i can’t find any on my benefits letter to support group or anything plus I live in sheltered house do I need to to put that on my claim

How much ESA do you receive every week? that will give me some idea which group you maybe in.
Rent for sheltered housing is paid in with Universal Credit known as housing element. Housing benefit would only continue if you're living in supported housing. (or temporary housing)
