I just received letter to say I’ve been placed on LCWRA, it says it will be in effect from the 08/10/24 which is when i started sending in my fit notes, assessment period is 03/02/25-02/03/25 which means i won’t receive extra money until 09/03/25 does this mean im owed any back payments? Its all just confusing me

    It means you are not owed any LCWRA element because it’s not paid at all during the waiting period.

    If 8th Oct was the same date you reported your health condition your waiting period will be as follows..

    Nov/Dec, Dec/Jan, Jan/Feb.. LCWRA element starts from assessment period 3rd Feb to 2nd March and first payment will be 9th March.

    If your UC includes Transitional Protection then the additional LCWRA element will also erode that.
