NNo That's because they say then done consultations wish they didn't because that could of been a legal case as farmers taking them to court over lack of consultations

This is true it literally is the worst of to evils but the fight is not over because once this resolved let's hope we have lwcra which I fear will not get hardly any backlash and be more damaging but I hope this sends a message to starmer that people will fight and my God they wasn't expecting so much fightback from community charities the works ps I hope that all mps who did sign will get voted in local elections because they have proved themselves under so much pressure from whips ect I'm surprised medieval thumb screws wasn't used 😀

Pip watered down we can only hope for some more compassion. It's not about forcing people back to work. I get pip I work 12 hours it helps me greatly.

LCWRA is my biggest fear, I’d be lost without it, hope if they want to abolish it or make it harder to get this gets a backlash as well

Whether or not the welfare reform bill passes its second reading, this fight is far from over. It will return, reshaped, renamed, repackaged, likely before the ink is dry on the next King’s Speech, as if it fails, it will be back in the next parliamentary session. Anyone who thinks this is a one-off simply hasn't been paying attention.

That is why I am attending these meetings. Because when my MP, bound by their role as a PPS to follow the party line, finally opens the door, even if it is the eleventh-hour, I will be ready to walk in. Not to agree, but to ensure that the voices of sick and disabled people in our community are no longer pushed aside. I will also make clear that this conversation should have started long before now.

In my view, attending these meetings is not just important, it is essential. Speaking out is a necessity. If we do not turn up and raise our voices, those in power will take our silence as consent and our absence as indifference.

This eleventh-hour scramble proves they have felt the backlash. What they framed as a £5 billion saving has been revealed as a policy blind to human cost. And their greatest miscalculation? Believing we would not fight back.

So here is what I will ask on Saturday:

Over 120 of your colleagues have spoken out against this bill, condemning the harm it causes, the lack of consultation, and the total disregard for lived experience. You chose not to join them. Why?
We were left out of their plan, but we are writing ourselves into what comes next.

I think 3 point instead of 4 . Still no good as we mostly get 2s

I really don’t understand the lcwra and pip that’s coming in the future ( hopefully not). Right now you’re on lcwra and probably too stressed at the thought of another assessment to claim pip ( though could be your own personal reason obviously) . If it becomes one assessment and you pass you will then get pip and lcwra equivalent. Unless I’m missing something i don’t see how they’ll make savings

“On the payroll”? That’s just not true. PPSs do not get paid anything extra beyond their normal MP salary. The role is unpaid. And while they’re expected to support the government, several are stepping down so they can vote against the welfare bill.
