Catherine, the bill was published before the consultation ended, which completely undermines any claim of genuine consultation, that is why so many MP's are upset.

My MP’s email makes clear these meetings are to hear from constituents before the vote, not to shape the bill. That’s engagement, not consultation. It may be valuable, but it doesn’t change the fact that the government moved ahead without giving the public a real chance to influence the proposals.

So no, the meeting I am attending can’t be passed off as proper consultation. You can’t consult on something that’s already been written. Nothing said on Saturday will change the bill, but it might influence how she votes next week.

Don’t know how it’s live when it says 120 signatures and I’ve read it’s 164

Mine to its protection from nit working and that's what we need so if thier talking watering down pip and then get onto lwcra we need to fight I have been looking online seen timms being grilled over it yesterday and was concerned I don't know how to find it but yes we have to be prepared for that but I'm hoping they might think ok we can't step out of line again and think about it I think it starts with new claimants and gets around to us 2028 ish so enough time for push backs

Yes and for that I am so grateful we must build them up imagine them reading negative comments they will think what's the point I really praised my mp going against cuts I literally harassed him he never once said stop emailing and I've read some mps did say that to people so I personally think they do deserve credit because imagine the great pressure from above on them not easy so toxic they have been the ones taking the brunt of it all a bit of gratitude goes a far way

From what I can see, most post's disagree with the reforms. My question is, how would you reform this sickness and benefit issue? Is it bloated? Is the bill getting too much and where.

Currently I am in receipt of UC with LCWRA and PIP at the standard rate, all this is so stressful I’m being reviewed for PIP my forms had to be returned in August last year and am still waiting for the assessment

I think money could be saved by going back to a DLA type of paper assessment. Saving money on assessments. Conditions that the nhs state are lifelong should be exempt from further assessment, again saving money . The problem isn’t us it’s the system. They can’t take money from a million people cos a few may be fraudulent when there’s less than 1% fraud in pip

with the BBC sharing things like this no wonder the public are misinformed. The most biased news channel I have ever seen. Such a non story if he doesn’t need it why claim it?

Hopefully it’ll be paper based as I’ve heard of more of them . My pip forms on its way to me 😩. I don’t know if it’s the 89 page version or the short one

I for one think they should return to much simpler system of DLA, it was fairer.

I get the feeling whatever happens With the vote we will all still be persecuted. Watching politics live, don’t know who the 4 politicians were but the Labour lady and the host seemed to agree that pip should only be paid to people in work and it encourages economic inactivity. I just can’t get my head around how stupid these people are.

I have requested paper based when I sent my form in.

I got the usual text in April and I haven't heard from them since.

My forms on the way to me , don’t know if it’s 89 pages or short one . Don’t know why everything keeps changing

I don't think mine was long.

I didn't have enough room to explain how my disabilities affect me so I sent in eight typed up pages and my carer statement.

I hope it’s a short form , I’ve read people saying it’s been set to fail us . I’m hoping to get as much information as I can to see if I can have it paper based .
Yes I looked up that mp and didn’t see anything about him voting for either . I really wish Tory’s would start adding their name and god if reform did which they definitely won’t . Starmer would be stuffed
