then childs play, daft eighties Horror flick, i enjoyed the movies and thought the chucky effects really looked good for the time
then Poltergeist, loved this movie when i first saw it, that clown scene still creeps me out, great story and fx
finally one i bought, Haven't seen it yet but it was only 2 pounds delivered, enders game, Harrison ford is in it, and he doesn't just do anything, heres hoping its worth a watch

@Grinchy, it's such a shame that EVERYTHING has gone online now. The Artwork alone in your collection is amazing, but in entirety, it's phenomenal, and must have cost a pretty penny. Kudos to you!0
-
Cheers @Siwheels73, yeah everything seems geared towards streaming now, i'll use those services but will keep adding to the collection, its an interesting hobby, i did another couple of trades for some more steelbooks, first up hellraiser trilogy, love the artwork of pinhead on the cover
next up independance day, hard to believe its twenty years old, i remember vividly going to the cinema to see it

Going through my old pics here's a couple i missed, this movie the thing got me interested in special effects, i taught myself how to make creatures and other props by figuring out how they did it, this set has both the eighties and the recent sequel, and a booklet going over the movies, a poster and postcards
back to the future japanese cover 4k set

They look wonderful @Grinchy. Thanks for sharing them with us. Which are you looking forward to watching the most first? I am intrigued!

Hey @L_Volunteer, thanks, i quite like the original movie, that's my favourite, i enjoy the other two, but the first is the best, the cg effects are looking a bit dated now, but it was the first time we had seen realistic dinosaurs on film0
-
Hey @Grinchy. Oh, the first one sounds the most interesting! Especially as, as you said, it was the first time you had seen realistic dinosaurs on film0
-
So i did another trade with a collector friend, got a full set of friday the 13th movies coming, should keep me busy for a while, comes with a booklet about the films, the films themselves and a couple of pairs of old school 3d glasses for pt3 which is done in 3d, haven't seen most of the films in years, daft horror films featuring the villain silent killer Jason Voorhees who they kill off in each movie and he keeps coming back, stronger and more wicked, the 9 films come in a nice tin set embossed with Jason and the logo to, cheers

It's amazing that you taught yourself special effects @grinchy!
It looks like you've got some cool new additions to the collection, too
I'm sorry you haven't been sleeping well. Did you manage to get some sleep last night?0 -
Hey @Tori_Scope, yeah i had many attempts at making stuff before i got marginally good at it, now i just potter around with it, gives me something to do, glad your liking the collection, my sleep is still all over the place, trying to stay awake today so i can sleep through tonight, somedays i don't get up till 2 pm after not sleeping much the night before, wish i could get a hold on it0
-
Do you know what might be stopping you from sleeping @Grinchy?
And I'd say you're more than marginally good at making stuff!0 -
aww thanks for that @Tori_Scope,it took a long time before i considered myself able to create, i do enjoy it still, i suffer with nightmares, mostly about the sexual abuse i went through as a child, it sticks with me, and keeps me awake0
-
That's understandable @grinchy. I know that creating things, your collections, and your Star Wars room, are all positive outlets for you0
-
thanks @Tori_Scope, yeah its good that i have these things in my life and family of course, thanks again x

I agree with you @Grinchy. It is really positive0
