Why does it take 8 weeks to the next step??
Surely if IAS have made a decision (presumably both high) then they should let me know sooner?
And under what circumstances would the final result change?
IAS do not make a decision. They write a report with a recommendation. A DWP Decision maker has to look at the report alongside all the other available evidence and they make a decision. It can take up to 12 weeks.

Having a paper based assessment doesn't indicate Enhanced for both parts.

Yes, I agree with Poppy. Not sure where this presumption has come from.

It could be longer than 8 weeks to be fair and also the reasoning is, your in a backlog with everyone else for a DM to look at it.

Where can I find the stats for this?

    But it is extremely likely?
Because otherwise they would have assessed me face to face

Not really. It just means they think they have all the information needed to make a recommendation.

That recommendation could still potentially be -

Standard for one and nothing for the other.

    Standard for both.

Standard for one and enhanced for the other.

    Enhanced for both.

So your presumption is not valid.

If you're asking for stats on how long a decision can take then there isn't any. Backlogs are just part of the reason a decision can be delayed. Asking how long is like asking "how long is a piece of string"
To be honest your whole claim has been exceptionally quick up to now.

I waited nearly a year for a decision, Which was No, got to wait potentially another 2-3 months for a tribunal.

It is compared to some people. I don’t know why but you seem to enjoy challenging the people that are trying to help.

You also seem very confident, so if that’s the case, why are we all going round in circles for?

Come back when you have the decision and let us know the outcome. Easy.
    I will do that

Why is this forum so negative ?
Every time that I post something that is potentially positive - someone posts something negative/down putting ?
For once - please try to be positive in responses

I have closed this thread and it will remain closed for a little while so we can all have a break.
Update: Thread is now open again.

Over this weekend the general tone of responses hasn't been great to read, and sadly that hasn't shown signs of changing.

It's absolutely fine to disagree but it's always best to express that in the right way and ensure that you are remaining respectful of other members' views and suggestions.

When you write your post, consider what impact the words you use may have on the person you're addressing. How would you feel if they were said to you?

Humour such as sarcasm can often read harsher than intended through a written platform like this so we'd always advise being mindful of what you say.

    Keep it friendly

It's good to be mindful of the language we use and how that might make someone feel, especially during a difficult time. The community is intended to be a safe and supportive space.

    Additionally:

    Hi @ChrisH90

I just wanted to let you know that I have split your comment off into its own discussion so that we can avoid any confusion and cross over on this thread

    PA3 received by email
    Recommended 20 points daily living
22 points mobility with "no review has been advised due to the severity of cognitive difficulties and basal ganglia
degeneration which is lifelong, and his overall level of function is unlikely to improve."
    I would say "result"!

I’m with Poppy here, sorry if this is negative, but unless you can provide screenshots of the report you have received with your personal information removed, than I’m inclined to be suspicious about this because what you have said does not make sense.
