If you call them back after the automated bit where it tells you amount of pip and date of next payment, you can speak to the team and they will be able to tell you what day the backdated element will hit your account. Usually 3-5 working days from when you got the award text.

Money owed will be in your bank 3-5 working days after payment was sent. I would expect it by the end of this week. Then after that you will receive the decision letter which will give you details of what you've been awarded, where you scored your points and what day of the week to expect your 4 weekly payments. You can also ring PIP to ask what you've been awarded and when to expect any money owed into your bank.1 -
Thank you poppy I am just so glad that's its now done and over and I can get on with life, unfortunately I'm not able to return to work for the moment of upto 12 to 18 months now xx1

I have just rang pip,
Backpay will be in my account on 12th October, not happy though as they scored me 8 points for daily living, and only 4 points for mobility, even though I can't walk far or most days not at all. They said if I not happy with decision I can dispute it once I get the letter. Letter was sent out on the 6th October.0 -
I'm sorry that you are not happy with their scores. If you do go for Mandatory Reconsideration, Citizen's Advice have an information page you may find helpful to read0

Hi all I’m Sandra I applied for pip in July but I didn’t send off the form as my toddler ripped it up. They sent me a new one in Sept but I tried to get in the cab but couldn’t they ended up ringing me on the 31st Oct and did it over the phone I got a text this morning to say they’d awarded it but I am not sure when they’ll backdate it from. Anyone have any ideas thanks for reading1
-
Hi Sandra - if this is your first claim for PIP, then it will be due to be paid from the date you rang up to say you wanted to claim in July.
