Ha ha no worries. I feel like I am not getting anywhere with this - I just hope a new case manager will come in and see the matter differently

Yeah I have noticed a trend with UC, it feels like you dealing with untrained staff, and whatever they tell you is in an authoritative way, they act like children if you try to reason and either just repeat previous reply or ghost you. Even the UC phone line was basically just going with the latest reply. The upside is at least its all logged, so when reporting them for not engaging and not following their own rules, the evidence is in plain sight.

This trend has been going on for several years, possibly longer. It used to be poorly trained staff but UC was introduce 11 years ago so how long do we have to continue to say poorly trained? It's frustrating to say the least!

The UC helpline is a complete waste of time too because they are just call centre staff with even less knowledge than a work coach.

Indeed, the thing is if you are getting no joy from your MP letter/s who else is there left to turn to?

Hi im new here, names claire. I have Cancer. I am currently receiving enhance rate of daily living and i have applied for mobility. I have FND and neuropathy whichbaffects me badly.

I recieved a text saying they had finished their review and id recieve a letter with the decision in 2 weeks time. This was 3 days ago. Iv woken up this morning to some money in my bank from PIP. Im guessing its back payment but it dooesnt add up to be standard or enhanced. So im confused. This letter needs to hurry up. X

Being owed money almost certainly means your award has been increased to include mobility.

I believe Decision Makers have some discretion about when to start the new award from.

So without that information it's probably going to be challenging for you to work out standard or enhanced without the letter.

You can ring them to ask what the decision was and they will tell you.

    FAO POPPY

Hi all, I see the conversation has moved on now so didnt want to keep bringing up my own updates. But Poppy, is it possible to private message with you as you seem very well versed on this all and there is something I wanted to share with you privately for an opinion. If you'd be willing to do that please let me know how. I am still new to this forum so not sure how it works lol

Also - hello to Chocoxx :D

I'm afraid I don't give advice through PM because I just don't have time to do that. Not only that, it's not something that the scope team supports. You could get some expert advice from an advice agency near you. https://advicelocal.uk/welfare-benefits

Fair enough - I just had wanted to share with you exactly what my new case manager has said as it is a bit of a U turn. but not to worry. thanks
