This forum/thread is so helpful! I applied for PIP in December and just got my "yes" text this morning. So relieved. Glad I did a lot of research (especially on here) before applying 😊

When you first rang to start your claim they will have asked you for your bank details as part of the claims process.

Any money owed will be paid into your bank 3-5 working days after payment was sent. If you want to know what you’ve been awarded and when to expect the money into your bank then you can ring PIP to ask. They open at 9am in the morning.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.

I applied in May 2022 and received my money on 19 Sept.  I had a telephone consultation in the August.   Hope this helps.

I got my text this morning at 8am and it’s Thursday so I’ll let people know what it’s like too have the 3/5 stretch over a weekend period funnily enough they only received my assessment on the 13th so I think they’re trying too cut back on back pay and speed up the process or I’m lucky

That makes no sense because they will need to pay you every 4 weeks going forward anyway. You would still receive the same amount of money, regardless of when the decision was made. It isn't the reason why your decision was made so quickly after receiving the report back. Some decisions are made quicker than others.

I applied January 23 - telephone assessment 19 June- same day text saying they received report - text received 3 July saying they still hadn't made decision - text saying been awarded today and a letter will be sent within 2 weeks.  But I see that people have written that you get back pay before your letter arrives.  Will you not know what you have been awarded until the letter arrives even though they pay back pay before the letter?

Pip received my forms on the 26th April, phone assessment on the 15th June, received txt on the 28th June awarding me pip, received decision letter today 6 th July, no mention of back dated money only my four weekly payment from the 26th June to 27th July saying that’s what they owe me, I thought it was backdated from when you made your claim.
