So I rang pip I will get my first payment on the 4th Dec but I will get my back pay on the 13th Nov. I am quite overwhelmed though after having 2 knock backs I keep thinking am I deserving of it but after 2 years I'd almost given up3

@sandra2812 I am so happy to hear you have been awarded!0

Hello, I received my text saying they've accepted me for PIP, I see that most people get there back dated money a few days later.
My question may sound silly but I can't even remember giving them my bank details.
At what stage of the process was this information handed over was it on the application form?0 -

They would have asked for your bank details when you first rang to start your claim. They do not ask for bank details when filling out the PIP2 form.

Hi, reading the comments on here a lot of people are talking about having a text saying that their report has been sent to DWP. It’s a week since my assessment but haven’t received any texts, however most of these seemed to have been assessed by capita, whereas I was assessed by IAS. I’m wondering if maybe there’s a different policy for each one??0

There's 2 possible reasons here why you haven't received a text. Either your report has been returned and you haven't received a text.Or your report hasn't been returned and could be in an audit. If it's in audit, it's nothing to worry about, it means they are checking the assessor did their job correctly. Once the audit has been completed they will return it. You can contact Capita to ask them if it's been returned and they will tell you.1

Hi, I received my text saying pip have accepted my claim but I haven't been paid the lump sum backdated payment back to when I first started the claim. I made it clear that I have been dealing with my health problems for over a year on the claim. It was last Tuesday I received my text.
Is there any reason why I wouldn't get a payment, like others have?0 -

Is there any reason why I wouldn't get a payment, like others have?I'm afraid we can only guess what the reason is for not receiving money owed (unless you were transferring from DLA) you will need to ring PIP to ask.Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

Hi all,
I hope you are all well and have had a good week?
I applied for PIP in September and got given a telephone assessment for yesterday (16th of Nov)
I had my assessment that took a lovely 50 minutes and this morning (17th of Nov) I received a text saying the DWP have received my report.
I shall keep you posted about any updates.
I thought I'd make a post so it gives people a rough estimate for assessments in Q4 of 2023
Have a lovely weekend all1 -
@cookiedoe Well done getting through the assessment! I hope you have a lovely weekend too0

I had my assessment on Wednesday still no ‘we have recieved your report’ text. Maybe being impatient but most receive there’s within 24 hours. Starting to think it’s gone to audit x0

Mine was with capita. Is it worth ringing the pip helpline to see if they have it ? Xcookiedoe said:parleigh21 said:I had my assessment on Wednesday still no ‘we have recieved your report’ text. Maybe being impatient but most receive there’s within 24 hours. Starting to think it’s gone to audit x

Just for future reference they don't always send the report back within 24 hours. Sometimes it takes longer depending on each individual case. If you're very unlucky then it could be chosen for audit which can delay returning it considerably.
