Text received saying I have been awarded PIP, should I be worried that I haven't been paid?

Update: They just keep telling me to contact my MP without offering any explanation of why I have lost my TP. I have explained that nothing was ever in my CC's about this, nor did I make enough in my first period for it to be in play. But still, the case manager is insisting that they are correct and that I should contact my MP.
I feel so fobbed off.

Whether it was or wasn't in your CC is irrelevant because it has nothing to do with that. You can request the Mandatory Reconsideration on the decision to erode your TP due to the 3 months earnings being below the AET. When you do that please make sure that you tell them how much earnings you actually received in your very first assessment period.

here is the response:
We can not raise a Mandatory Reconsideration for the transitional protection as this is policy that we are unable to change, You must speak to your Local MP.

seems like I am being fobbed off

That's nonsense! they can change the decision to remove the TP if it was incorrectly eroded!

I know this Poppy, but the person responding 'Stacey from Derby' (who has been so bad) is not budging and is not opening a MR. I have explained that I have chronic anxiety (hence LCW - potentially progressing to LCWRA in future) and she just keeps telling me to go to my MP know full well that that will be a struggle for me personally but also to get any response from. I feel like I have been well and truly thrown under a bus here and they wont open a MR….

With my 'case manager' not budging on this, and struggling to even contemplate the whole 'contact your MP' fob off, what could I do? Appreciate your help Poppy

They can't refuse your MR request, anytime a decision is made you have the right to challenge it and this is no exception. It's not the actual law you're challenging, it's the decision to erode your TP due to the 3 month rule with earnings dropping below the AET. Your earnings were not above the AET in the first month you claimed so that law doesn't apply to you.
If you still have no joy then my only advice is to contact your local MP. Tell them exactly what's happened. They will hopefully contact UC on your behalf.

Have you tried a formal complaint?

They are refusing my MR every single time I mention it - just saying that this has happened due to policy that they cannot change and pointing me to my MP. But I just know this is basically going to end up with me being fobbed off. I feel so, so sad about it

Hi :) No I havent, would that be a route worth taking? I am getting fed up of typing my story out over and over… but i will give it a try

It's worth a try if Journal communications aren't getting you anywhere. You can use copy/paste from what you've already written with any minor edits as needed.
Saves all the typing.
Because I don't want to type the same advice here multiple times for common questions, I bookmark threads then copy/paste with a bit of editing if needed.

Ok I have done this, thank you, i will keep you all posted. The person replying just says their name and from 'Derby Service Cent.' or something like that. Now, respectfully, I cant think they are the right person for this decision and I actually am beginning to feel like they have taken a disliking to me… their approach has been so wrong and they have not once answered my question/s clearly - instead just stating 'but its policy' and to consult my MP. It is infuriating!
Thank you all for your help though, you have each been the bright spark in this

I still think you should also contact your local MP because they can contact UC on your behalf. You don't seem to want to do that, is there any reason why?

I have sent an initial email to them, but it just feels like a dead end which is why I felt it not worth following.

In your claimant commitments it would of stated in there how much you were expected to earn each assessment period, We can not raise a Mandatory Reconsideration as the removal of Transitional Protection is Policy, You must contact your Local MP.
This is the latest. I contacted my MP but heard nothing and almost do not expect to as it just feels like such a throw away thing to say.
I have asked, and I am not sure how much of 'the done thing' this is, but I have asked if I can request a second opinion as the person replying to me on my journal has been quite tough to deal with. It did NOT state this in my CC's, so this is factually incorrect.
Again, I have tried my MP but had no response… I have lost around 20% of my award to this.

JB, I would send your MP the latest message from UC. If that person cannot spell properly then assume they cannot read well.
Allow 28 days for a response. They will be dealing with dozens of complaints about DWP.
Save screen shots of all your statements and claimant commitment history. Copy and paste the regulation(s) into your journal with a new MR request. Ask UC for a new Case Manager.

That's absolute nonsense and they are just making it up. You said yourself that it didn't say this in your CC that's because it doesn't ever say in there how much your earnings should be.
They can't refuse the MR because every decision has the right to be challenged! A 2nd opinion, is the MR request.
I would put in a complaint to UC about the way you've been treated and wait to hear back from your MP.

I agree with all being stated here - I am just being passed around like a beach ball. I have this morning called the helpline again which didnt really go anywhere - but have updated my journal. I took inspiration from had been said here and have requested a new case manager.
