That is what I'm terrified of.

I'm not answering it the way they want me to or answering the questions they have asked . I'm just writing what I want to say in the boxes and making it perfectly clear that the 4 point pip rule will be disastrous and lives will be lost if the decision goes ahead .
And when they ask what support they can offer someone after they have cruelty ripped away all their money and carers away etc I am putting that there is no support they can offer as people need financial support

Yes and I'm sure we will ! if there were deposits going in our accounts of several thousands then yes I can understand they would ask questions but what we spend our money on is our business

I don’t know! It would be nice if the paper you read was right. Or if there was actually information available from DWP to tell us. I won’t find out until 2034!

This is completely normal. My last review began 11 months before my end date. The form took 10 days to arrive but I took that time to plan my answers

? You said new criteria will be don'e by Nov 26, or it is not before nov 26 , reason I am asking is my pip award ends Nov 26, so hoping I get reassessed under old criteria

@sparrow77 I have told them they need to invest MASSIVELY in suicide prevention and psychological support well in advance of implementation of their punishment of the disabled and vulnerable.
I've also told them their 'plan' to return people to the workforce should also factor-in the hundreds of thousands of carers.
I asked too, why none of this was in their manifesto particularly given the determination and urgency with which they are attempting to enact this.

So do you think the reassess is before our award ends, if you just got 2pts in daily?

Mine is 2034 too! I know, I really thought that it would be light touch so hadn't really been thinking about it until now. Everything is so vague.

This is what it states on my partners PIP award and maybe explains what "Light touch" awards look like?
"I've looked at your claim and decided:I can award you the enhanced rates of £**** a week to help with your daily living needs from 8 November 2018 for an ongoing period
I can award you the enhanced rates of £**** a week to help with your mobility needs from 8 November 2018 for an ongoing period"
It then goes on about payment schedule and a few other bits but then mentions:
"We will also contact you while you're getting PIP to see if your needs have changed and to look into the amount you get, This will be after 12 September 2028"What is strange is that its not a full 10 years as it starts November 2018 but they wont contact again until after "nearly" 10 years later in the September 2028, so just less than 10 years?
Question I would like to ask is if you're on a light touch award do they contact you a year before like other awards or is it after the date specified on the award? Maybe someone with more knowledge can explain those two parts above?0 -

The Green Paper says that “There’s clear evidence that shows good work is good for health and plays a vital role in recovery.[footnote 1]”
Footnote refers to a report from 2006. The Cardiff researcher who co-wrote it worked for a department that was at the time, sponsored by UNUM.
https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/news/unum-bragged-about-driving-government-thinking-on-incapacity-benefit-reform
Also…"So they’re basing their decisions on a report which is 19 years out of date? Greattt!"

As far as I know they will honour all our existing PIP awards so you won't be reassessed until the date on your letter, even if you don't have any 4s.

Yeah I think they start review about 10 months before, on my reward letter I have till nov26 but says they will reassess not before nov 25 plus I sure my last review start about that time before ,

My wife is on the lowest living component of pip but is a state pensioner on indefinite award to be reviewed in 2031.Will she now get an early review after 2026 and Lose her award

Ah, mine doesn’t say ongoing but gives a date of until Dec 2034. Then goes on to say they won’t contact me until after Dec 2033. It could just be they’ve changed the wording. Who knows? I’m not convinced the DWP know either!

This is the same as the wording on mine, saying they will contact me after March 2034. So is this what is considered a "light touch" award? As you say, will they still contact us about a year before?

I never got reviewed on PIP (I’m in Scotland so I was switched to ADP before my award ended and then was reviewed on ADP instead) but yes this is completely normal. Renewal forms are generally sent out in advance, I’ve seen people getting them anywhere from 6 months to a year before their award is due to end. It doesn’t have anything to do with the changes and doesn’t mean you’ll lose your PIP before the award date given, it’s just so they have time to process it. But if they don’t get it done in time you’ll continue to get paid until they do and I believe they usually extend your award for a year if they haven’t made a decision when it ends x

Someone on here actually called PIP a couple of days ago about this and they told them that even long or indefinite awards won't be reassessed until the date on your letter.

What absolutely baffles me is the decision to just strip everything from certain groups of people and essentially leave them to it. Like people who don’t qualify for PIP, don’t qualify under the new rules, or only get the mobility part. Or 18-21 year olds. Stripping them of all support is meant to do… what, exactly? It’s blackmail. It genuinely is and it really scares me for these groups.
The other thing that particularly worries is thinking about young people who have been on DLA and are then left without any support until they’re 22. “Oh you’re too sick to work? Come back in three years, if you’re still alive by then that is!”
It will force people into homelessness, it will make people find themselves trapped in abusive relationships (as does joint UC claims), it will lead to vulnerable young people falling into prostitution or unsuitable work that will just make them iller.
This is going to be mass murder. I’m so angry. I’m going to do everything I can to fight it.6 -
They best drop that one wth nah this will be watered down
