I know I've said this before too but I really dislike myself for having IBD . It makes me feel very upset with myself.0

I'm sorry that it upsets you so much. I know it's hard to live with an illness that just comes out of nowhere. But please don't dislike yourself.
You are so lovely to members of the community, and I know many are so happy when you check in, join in with chats and play games. Who you are isn't all IBD, it's just a part and at the moment it's making the most noise. Sorry if I have asked this before, have you asked about talking therapies with your GP?0 -
Hi @Hannah_Scope , I've had lots of talking therapies I do find them very difficult sometimes I've had to stop engaging due to how upsetting it can get . I'm awaiting an autism and adhd assessment. One mental health worker has been talking to me over the phone from time to time she's due to contact me in December. I will try when she calls to mention this to her because I don't think this lady who I'm talking too actually knows how I feel about my IBD and how it effects my mental health. Thank you so much for your kindness and support and time it really is appreciated. I will try to engage more in the games . A GREAT BIG THANK YOU @Hannah_Scope . You are an absolute star 🌟, a diamond 🔹 and a real gem 💎.0

Hopefully that assessment with help you further with talking therapies too. Please keep us updated on the outcome when you speak to the mental health worker in December.
We are always here to help! Thank you for being such a lovely member of our community!1 -

Hello @Strawberry1
I'm so sorry to hear it is flaring again. Have you contacted your IBD team for support? I would encourage you to
For some with IBD, stress can contribute to flare. There is this great app called Headspace, but I would suggest looking at their YouTube channel as the content is free there. Hopefully it can be a help1 -
I get very anxious about getting in touch with the IBD team . I know they are there to help . I feel like I'm burdening them and I know I wouldn't be . I want to speak with my GP about something so I could mention it to them . I will check out the Headspace stuff . Thanks again for your time it really appreciated. Please take care of yourself too . Your a 24 carat diamond 🔹.0

I'm so sorry @Hannah_Scope , I sometimes struggle to ask for help . It takes me some time to pluck up courage. I will ask eventually but it will take me a while. Thank you again.0
-
That's ok! It's hard to talk about issues that are so private. I just want you to know that they are specialists so the best people to talk to when you feel ready1

Hi @Beaver79 , I've only just seen this . I apologise for the late reply. I appreciate your support @Beaver79 . I know I should speak to someone it takes me ages to pluck up the courage to call doctors etc I don't like speaking to people over the phone I find it difficult but I have to get in touch with my GP soon about something else so hopefully that will give me a kick up the backside to do something. Thank you again. You Take care too please.1
